2164-G Black Marine Glue
This Marine Glue is intended for use in sealing
wooden deck seams on ships. The seams should be clean and dry and caulked
with oakum in a manor that allows not less than a 1/2" depth of Marine
Glue. 2164-G should be heated to a temperature of 350° F. to attain
optimum pouring viscosity. It should be poured from about 1" above the
seam. Cast iron or cast aluminum pots can be used for melting the glue.
Break up the glue into small chunks and apply heat slowly. Do not over
heat or glue will loss elasticity and adhesion. The safe heating range
is 350° - 400° F. Do not use oil on caulking irons or add any other
material to the glue. 2164-G is packed in 5 gal. lug covered pails weighing
approximately 42 lbs.
