Zophar Mills Triple A No. 10 Black For the General Protection of |
Formulated from a base of coal tar pitch, No. 10 Black is a highly protective, rust preventative coating for all industrial applications where the utmost in protection and durability are essential.
Waterproof and highly resistant to the action of acids and alkalies, it prevents and stops the rusting of iron and steel, the disintegration of concrete structures and is an excellent preserver of wood. Free from sulfur and lime it contains no poisonous pigments.
One of No. 10 Black's most remarkable traits is its penetrating power. It penetrates through rust, thoroughly impregnating and sealing the pores and pits of the surface to which it is being applied. This effectively protects the underlying metal from the corrosive action of moisture, acids or alkalies.
No. 10 Black also has excellent heat resisting properties making it an excellent stack paint resisting temperatures of up to 400° F. Adhering firmly, it will withstand extreme temperature changes and will not chip or peel if applied properly. To add to its boasts of climate resistance, it can also be applied to a damp surface. All one needs to do is wipe the surface with a dry rag ahead of the brush or roller.
