No. 111 Hydraulic Black is an Asphalt blend combining excellent water-proofing and rust resistant qualities. It is used extensively for protecting the inside of steel or concrete water storage tanks and standpipes. The coating system has a background of practical application exceeding 60 years in water immersion service.

The coating system has proven superior as a lining material in fresh water tanks ranging from a few hundred gallons to capacities of 1, 2, 5, 10 and 15 million gallon tanks. This system is currently in use throughout the USA as well as foreign countries by municipal water supply agencies and privately owned water supply companies.

No. 111 is recommended for use in water systems because it will not impart taste, odor or color to drinking water. It is recommended wherever strong paint odors are objectionable or would contaminate food stuffs and beverages. Inert and odorless when dry, No. 111 has an extremely mild odor during application. Its use also extends into the beverage industry for the lining of filtration tanks, water softeners, syrup tanks, and Infilco type water tank units.
