PLUMBING COMPOUNDS
Q-SEALA Plastic Expansive Joint Sealing Compound
Q-Seal is a double expansion joint compound for Gas, Water and Air lines. It expands under heat and is effective up to 450° F. The compound is water based and will thin and clean up with water.
"WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT Q-SEAL ?"
Q-SEAL expands instead of shrinking. It's ability to expand makes it useful in situations where heat might ordinarily be a problem. It seals joints leakproof, prevents "frozen joints" as it lubricates and is non-corrosive. It is entirely resistant to heat and unaffected by vibration. Q-SEAL is also impervious to oil, gasoline, kerosene and acids. Ideal for use on copper, brass, galvanized and black pipe fittings. It even makes possible use of defective fittings and gaskets and does not spoil.
Some Applications of Q-Seal might include:
The sealing of screw threads, flange and gasket joints on steam, air, gas, oil, gasoline, kerosene, acid, creosote, tar, ammonia, paraffin and benzol lines. Also used for boiler hand and manhole gaskets, washout plugs, all steam joints, air brakes, heating systems, turbine casings, automotive and other internal combustion engine cylinder heads, manifold and oil pan gaskets, oil refinery and cracking still equipment, pumps and valves, gear housings, oil burning and refrigeration equipment.
The New Brush-in-Cap Container:
In the near future Zophar Mills will be introducing Q-Seal in a plastic screw cap container. The cap will come equip with a brush making the product easier to use with little clean up. Initially it will be available in a 4 fluid ounce containers holding approximately 1/2 lb. of Q-Seal. Please feel free to call for more information.
